It looks like a Hollywood set in Downtown Louisville KY. A row of building facades with no buildings behind it. The row of buildings has historically been called Whiskey Row.

The facades of seven buildings in the project will be saved and restored to their original beauty. Four of the buildings are being demolished but the middle three will be fully restored.

Louisville is trying to be a big city. Downtown Louisville is slowly and sporadically adding attractions such as the Big Four Walking Bridge, the Louisville Extreme Park, the 21C Museum Hotel, The Louisville Slugger Museum, The Louisville Waterfront Park, a Museum dedicated to the Louisville-born boxer formerly known as Cassius Clay, a minor league baseball stadium called Louisville Slugger Field for the Louisville Bats.
Residential condominium projects are also popping up.
On the other hand, the City of Louisville has recently embarked on a program to discourage visitors from coming downtown on Saturday by announcing it will strictly enforce weekend parking fines with their new high-tech parking meters. Many business owners are upset over what is effectively a tax on citizens who want to patronize downtown businesses. There has also been a backlash on social media of Louisvillians who say they now have even less reason to want to come downtown when they can do all the shopping and entertaining they need in the suburbs, without having to ding their credit card in parking meters.
